Top 10 To Do Things Before Shadowbringers

With 4 days remaining before Early Access to Shadowbringers, in game life can be equally exciting and tiresome.  However, during those downtime before the release of a new expansion there can be a lot of opportunity to get some stuff done in your game before the "Official Release".  This Article is going to cover a list of things that you can do to get ready before the release of the new Final Fantasy XIV expansion Shadowbringers that will be beneficial to you and keep you fairly busy.

#1  CLASSIC CONTENT

One of the most notorious things to consider is naturally; "What have I not done yet?"  To accomplish this task I had to not only check available achievements to complete but consider what I might be interested in doing.  I realized very quickly that there was a lot of stuff I just hadn't done, or had missed back on the initial release (2.4; 3.2;4.3,Etc.); patch content.  Some of those things include: 

• Beast Tribes
• Raids
• Pony/Bird Farming
• Diadem (Spoils Farming)
• Achievement Hunting (Inclusive)

#2 ALTERNATE CLASSES

This seems like a real no brain-er to a lot of individuals playing, but I think it's something that gets a bit over thought.  Effectively I have had 5-6 classes that I always maintain at max level with maxed out gear to effectively keep my versatile in the gaming content and fitting in with group compositions.  For example, working on a SCH while after completing WAR; Or maybe a SMN.  This not only gives you something to do but gives you a head start on the next expansion beforehand.  

#3 MAKING MONEY

Yes...I said it.  Go make some money.  For a new player I know it sounds like a daunting task.  You have to go out into the world and sell some goods or loot found to make a little money.  It can be fun, and lucrative to give you a heads start.  Here are a couple of tips to accomplish this in a fun way.

• Crafting & Gathering
• This one seems self explanatory.  But it's still a relevant way to make money in game.
• Market Trading
• Buy low & Sell High.  Requires knowledge of your Server & Data Center Market.  
• Maps
• Get a group together and work on some maps.  It gets pretty good money not including all of the little drops you get.  

#4 EXTREME TRIALS & RAIDS

If you are behind on your content clearing some extreme trials and raids can be extremely fulfilling before the expansion.  If your timid or shy throw open a Party Finder for a run that you need/want to do and get a group together.  This is a great way to prepare for the upcoming content by bolstering your ability as a player and understand a broader set of mechanics.  It's a win-win!  So go get it! 

#5 GOLD SAUCER

Have you ever considered how many mounts you would have by now if you had participated in the Gold Saucer each week?  Have no fear because there are a huge number of guides available.  The fashion contest and weekly challenges makes this process easier than it has ever been.  So it may be a good time to work on Triple Triad game. 

#6 HUNTING

With the release of cross worlds it's a lot easier to get out there and find a "Hunt LS" and get into some hunts pre-expansion.  Hunts offer a chance to not only build yourself within a community but obtain faster mount speeds, & collect special items only obtainable through this mode.  

#7 GLAMORIZING

It was bound to come to this eventually.  Glamouring is a great way to pass the time and what better way to do that; changing your characters outfit and player a game of dress up.  FFXIV has held numerous options on how you can change your character.

#8 MAXING TOMES & SEALS

Whether it's gear for one of your classes later on down the road or some type of in game item; you will want to save seals and tomes.  The current gear in the game at max level in Stormblood can get you nearly a full set of 390 ilevel gear.  However, it's so close to the end of Stormblood that if you already have those sets or the sets that you want your better off saving them.  After all you do have a Gunbreaker and Dancer to level now.  

#9 PERFECT YOUR CLASS

Everyone always has room to grow in an MMO.  This one is no different and when it comes to skill some people aren't born with the innate talents to stomp enemies into the earth and understand the strategy's that effectively are used to beat them.  This is a good time to stop and think about how you can bring that into Shadowbringers.  So pick a class that your gonna focus and lets get into this expansion. 

#10 MAKE FRIENDS

Seriously!  It's a game after all and the game wouldn't be the same without the community so make sure you take the time to get into the game and really enjoy the meat and potato's of FFXIV.  This expansion is looking to be the biggest one yet, and has already doubled the number of pre-order's compared to Stormblood.  So lets all hop on our fat chocobo's and kick out some Soul Eater's in The First.
